Presence beats stress. It starts in your feet 👣
“Alexandra, I’m so 🤬⚡️🔥💥 🌶️ 🔴✨stressed.”
“I can’t think straight”, she added.
I’ve heard this many times.
People so stressed they don’t believe they can handle their session.
Or much of anything else.
Caroline was suffering from the usual forms of stress:
Information overload: emails, messaging, meetings.
Multitasking: typing during calls, eating while reading.
Not to mention her smartphone notifications literally screaming for her attention.
Difficulty making decisions.
Lapses in concentration.
Life starts to blur.

I was there: frustrated. Trying and not moving an inch. Burning out – twice.
One day, it hit me: presence is in my feet.
Looking at my feet, I knew where I was.
Not in my head anymore – that place of confusion.
My feet reconnected me to my body.
To the here and now.
To choice.
